For the two of you

Your wedding can be the two of you and a view. It can be ten people at the registry office and a long lunch after. You decide how big it is and how it goes. I make sure you can see it again, the way it felt.

KIND WORDS
Sarah and Panos together on their wedding day in Melbourne.

From the quiet of Fitzroy Gardens to the joy of St Kilda Towers, Gurvinder caught the feeling of our whole day, the laughter, the love, and all the small moments in between. Looking back through the gallery, it is every bit of it. We could not be happier.

Gurvinder felt like one of the family from the very first moment. He moved so gently through our day and gave us exactly what we had dreamed of. Everyone still speaks of him. He made the day so special, and we thank him from the bottom of our hearts.

From our very first chat to the final gallery, every moment felt easy and full of warmth. Gurvinder has a gift for making you forget the camera is even there, and what he handed back to us simply took our breath away. He was, quite truly, a superstar.

Even the first glimpses on the back of the camera stopped us in our tracks, like stills from a film we never wanted to end. Gurvinder caught the unguarded little moments we would have otherwise lost, and now every photo brings the whole day rushing back with a smile.

Our elopement by the water was everything we'd hoped for, and Gurvinder held onto all of it so beautifully, the stillness, the joy, the whole feeling of the day. The photos are the most gorgeous thing we own. He made it all so special.

Katie and Luke on their elopement day in Fitzroy Gardens.

Gurvinder was, without a doubt, the highlight of our day. He made everything feel calm and joyful, and we both felt completely ourselves in his company. The way he captured us, exactly as we are, is something we will treasure for the rest of our lives.

It was a long, full day right across the city, and Gurvinder was beside us through every part of it, calm and easy from the morning at the Windsor to the very last of the night. Every moment is held in our gallery, and we love them.

We had such a great experience with Gus for our engagement proposal! He was incredibly flexible, accommodating and easy to work with, going above and beyond to make everything run smoothly. The photos turned out amazing, and we were so impressed with how quickly we received both our sneak peeks and full gallery.

About Gurvinder

The best photographs happen when you forget I am there.

There's something about slowing down long enough to really see what's in front of you. That's what photography gave me, and that's what I try to give back.

I don't pose, but I direct. I'll tell you where to stand and where the light is, then step back and let the day happen.

Every frame is taken by me and edited by me. Nothing is handed to a second shooter or an outside editor.

I'm a husband to Pooja and dad to Kabir and Vaani. Having them has changed how I see this work. I know what it means to want a moment kept.

More about me

Do we need witnesses?

Yes. You need two witnesses aged 18 or over. The Victorian Marriage Registry does not provide them, and without them the ceremony does not go ahead. If it is only the two of you, arrange your witnesses before you book.

What if it rains?

We agree a wet-weather plan before the day: where we would go, and how we get there. Soft rain and grey skies photograph well.

How soon do we see the photographs?

A sneak peek within 48 hours, and the full gallery within four weeks.

Do you travel?

Travel within 50 km of Melbourne is included. Further out, I'll quote it before you book, so there are no surprises.

Is a celebrant included?

No. At the Victorian Marriage Registry, the Registry runs the ceremony. Anywhere else, you book your celebrant yourselves. I photograph the day and work around what the ceremony needs.

How do we hold a date?

Send me the date and where you're thinking. If I'm free, I'll send the booking details. Half holds the date, and the other half is paid on the day.

Tell me about the day you're planning.

Send the date and where you're thinking. I'll come back within 24 hours to say whether I'm free.
